The game offers six mysterious instruments, each a doorway into a different mode of perception:
- Fire Dragon Stone — strengthens free will and creativity
- Samashroom — meditation assistant; alters and expands one's understanding of love
- Floating Wileys — dream guide; unstable, with a risk of "blackening"
- Crown Straw — survival kit for confronting the fear of death
- The White Glove — king of illusion; reveals all illusions; recommended for those with an interest in art
- Totem — the most powerful "experience container," housing countless magical instruments, though easily broken
